I’m finished with the Lifestyle Program, 12 pounds shy of my goal, but happy just the same. The before and after pictures are sort of amazing. I didn’t know I would be getting the after picture taken when I did, so I was in gym clothes, with gym hair, and all, and I still looked way better than the before picture in which I did know I was ging to get my picture taken, but still had gym clothes on.
I am off all my medications, my blood pressure is normal and no longer high, my cholesteral is still higher than it should be but only by a few points. I am very pleased and praising God that I got to participate in such an intensive program and that the time was so great that I will move to Australia 50 pounds lighter than if we had moved last year. And, thanking God too, that Lance has lost pounds as well and he too is much healthier than he was at this time last year.
This year of Simply Living has proved to be not so Simple. In fact, it’s been rough. But, we’ve learned that we don’t need a lot of stuff to live. You don’t need alot of clothes, alot of shoes, alot of kitchen utensils. You don’t need alot of money or square footage or whatever your take on a ‘must have’ vehicle is. Once you’re willing to release all that gotta have it baggage, the way of living gets lighter and simpler. And THAT is how I want to live the next part of my life. I like to call it Life Part Duex.
How about you? Learned anything life changing? Any goals you have for your Life Part Deux?
I still would have to list Living for Jesus as my number one goal. But the others have changed. They kind of have to as we will be living in Australia very soon. And on that note, I am starting another blog called Living In Aussieland. I still have to set it up and figure out exactly what I want to relay to folks, but it is going to be heavy on the images of our move and our travel and our arrival and then our setting up to live in ‘oz’.
Hope you’ll join me from time to time!
